After calling up the "Adsorption" dialogue window, the following input window appears for the parameters of the adsorption calculation (only for transient calculation):

 

Shape functions

Choice of adsorption isotherms: A distinction is made between:

• Henry

• Freundlich

• Langmuir

 

The individual isotherms with their respective input parameters are described in detail in the chapter "Adsorption".

 

Matrix parameters

Definition of the density of the matrix (soil characteristic value) in [kg/m³]

 

Zoning

The adsorption can also be calculated in zones with different parameters for the respective zones (attribute Z-KD).

If a zoning file already exists, it can be selected via the file selection window that appears. For a new zoning, you can create a pre-formatted file in *.txt format using the new button (). For the structure of the file, please refer to the chapter "Structure of the zoning files".

 

Adsorption parameters

Depending on the selected adsorption isotherm, the required coefficients are entered here, unit [m³/kg].

 

Diagram

A preview diagram is created based on the parameters entered and the underlying isotherm. This can be saved as an image (Save diagram).
