Flooding parameters

Flooding parameters

Attributes:

HMAX [m], (node-wise) (3D model only)

MENG [m³/TU], (node-wise) (3D model only)

HT_0 [m], (node-wise) (3D model only)

The values for flooding parameters (can only be used with SITRA) are changed with the identifier HMAX for decant height and MENG for inflow rates. This should only be performed if the decant height and inflow rates have already been defined for the corresponding void in the mesh. To identify the void to which the change is to applied, the area number used under GRUB must be specified instead of a node or element number. If a decant height is to be cancelled, the area number must be specified with a negative value, the value is then irrelevant. A value is still required for SPRING, hence why it is suggested to make the value negative rather than deleting it. A detailed explanation of these parameters can be found in “How To – Flood simulation of mine structures”.

The HT_0 attribute can be used for the first time step of the transient calculation to specify an initial waterlevel for the void during flooding.
