Hydromechanic dispersion
SPRING-help >> Heat transport >>
Hydromechanical dispersion describes the distribution or mixing of heat in moving pore water. The heat flow through dispersion is also described using Fourier's law, based on heat conduction:
With:
jdisp = heat flow through dispersion [W]
Dd = symmetric dispersion tensor [m²/s]
A = cross-section of flow [m²]
cw = specific heat capacity of the fluid [Ws/(kg K) = J/(kg K)]
ρw = density of the fluid [kg/m³]
= temperature gradient [K/m]
