The FE calculation provides the following results (in some cases only on request):
Potential heads at all nodes (primary result variable)
Velocities for all elements: the distance velocities (va) are output in the SITRA module, the Darcy velocities (vf) are output in the GEONEU module (va = vf/n)
The velocity field is saved in the background files and can be visualised using the STRING programme .
Depth to the groundwater level at all nodes, if terrain elevations were provided in the model file
Mass flow rates (inflow or outflow rates) for all nodes with specified potential
Leakage rates for nodes and elements, provided that leakage coefficients (LERA, LEKN, LEEL) and watercourse water level/stage (VORF) were defined in the model data
Mass balance of the total rates of all inflows and outflows. These are placed in relation to the total rates of the mass flow rates. The sum of all entered and calculated rates must be close to zero. In addition, all inflows (positive) are compared with the outflows (negative) and the areas summarised via the data types BILK and BILE are balanced.
Mass flow rates at control lines, if these have been defined in the mesh file (see control line calculation)
Iterated saturated thicknesses for all elements (for a horizontal model calculated with variable saturation)
Path line tracking based on the calculated velocities (SITRA: effective flow velocity, GEONEU: Darcy velocity)
