Soil types, - classes

Soil types, - classes

All attributes element-wise and only applicable to horizontal or 3D models.

Attributes:

NMBT [-] (Meßer method),

NSBT [-] (Schroeder&Wyrwich method),

BTYP [-] (corresponds to NSBT, required for transient recharge calculation with soil water balance method),

NKBT [-] (RUBINFLUX method)

Depending on the method used to determine groundwater recharge, the elements are classified according to specific soil types with different attributes. In the Meßer method, a distinction is made between sandy or clay soils depending on their usable field capacity, as well as loess and soils with stagnic properties. For the Schroeder and Wyrwich method soils are classified as terrestrial soils, clay soils, and semi-terrestrial soils. The methods are described in detail in the chapter on groundwater recharge calculation.

The following figure shows the distribution of soil types in a model.
