After opening the SPRING software, a start window appears in which new projects can be created, existing projects opened, and a selection of recent projects are displayed which can be conveniently opened.
SPRING 7 start window
When creating a new project, after selecting the project type and importing data, the data record is visualised on the screen using the SPRING user interface.
The SPRING user interface mainly consists of five areas – the menu bar, toolbars, the main window, the status bar, and the project manager. The range of functions provided in these five areas depends on the type of project that is open. If particular commands are not available in a menu, in a view or at a certain point in the project, they are greyed out and deactivated or not displayed
