Units

Units

The following units are predefined:

  • Unts of length in [m]

  • Areas units in [m²]

  • Volume units in [m³]

  • Angle in degrees [°]

The remaining data is defined as follows:

  • Hydraulic conductivity coefficients in [m/s]

  • Concentrations:

For a mass transport calculation with a tracer or density-independent flow, it is possible to enter the concentration with an "arbitrary" unit (e.g. [g/l], [g/g], [mg/l], [kg/kg], etc.) The unit must be the same for all concentration types in a model.

For a density-dependent mass transport calculation, the concentration must have the unit [kg (solute)/kg (solution)].

For a calculation with adsorption, the concentration must have the unit [kg/m³

  • Temperatures in [°C]

  • Density in [kg/m³]

  • Material data (MATE) in [cm/s]

  • Transmissivities (TRAN) in [cm²/s]

The relevant time unit for in- and outflows is specified in the model file. Therefore, all in- and outflows of the model are converted to this time unit. The following time units are available:

SEKUNDE (seconds), TAG (days), MONAT (months), JAHR (years).

Mass in- and outflows (QKON) are defined as per second.
