Final results of the transient flow calculation

Final results of the transient flow calculation

The calculation provides the following results at the end of the transient calculation:

  • Potential heads at all nodes

  • Peak values of the calculated data (e.g. minimum/maximum potential heads) and the associated time steps

  • These can be imported via Attributes Import model data/computation results...:

  • Saturations at all nodes (for saturated/unsaturated calculation)

  • Iterated node thicknesses for all nodes (for a horizontal model calculated with an iteration of the thickness)

  • Field velocity for all elements

  • Velocity field for the last time step for visualisation with STRING

  • Velocity at each fracture elements (if available)

  • Distances to water table at all nodes, if terrain heights (GELA) were entered in the model file

  • Mass flow rates (inflow or outflow rates) for all nodes with specified potential

  • Leakage rates for nodes and elements, provided that leakage coefficients (LERA, LEKN, LEEL) and watercourse stage height were specified in the model data

  • Mass balance of the total rates of all inflows and outflows. These are set in relation to the total rate of the mass flow rates. The sum of all entered and calculated rates must be close to zero. In addition, all inflows (positive) are compared with the outflows (negative) and the balance areas summarised via the data types BILK and BILE are balanced.

  • Flow rates for control lines.
