After double-clicking the SPRING icon, in addition to the project types, the 'Geo pre-processing Tools' window can be selected.

Here, files can be converted into different formats or coordinate systems independently of a SPRING model. The following options are currently available:

• Convert supported input formats to SPRING structure file format (*.str)

• Convert coordinates to a different coordinate system

• Convert ESRI-shape files into Excel-files

• Extract surfaces from triangulated meshes

After selecting the desired function, an input window appears in which the source files and the corresponding output directory can be defined.
