Data description

The mesh of the finite elements (triangles and four-corner) is the basis for all data. Through this mesh, which consists of nodes and elements, the geometry and geography is defined and reproduced. Each element and each node must be numbered. The individual data are assigned to these numbers. The geometrical data are referred to as an identification. The remaining data types are referred to as attributes.

The data can be divided into four groups:

Geometric data

Material data

Boundary condition and source terms

Auxiliary data for further analysis and presentation

Meaning in the following descriptions:

1K: for models with 1D fractures only

2K: for models with 2D fractures only

When a model type is not specified, the appropriate type of data is useful for several types of models.
