The thickness represents the aquifer height for the case of a horizontal model and the section width of the aquifer in the case of a vertical model. The thickness is assigned to elements or nodes. The unit is m.
If column 15 contains an 'F', the thickness for the corresponding elements or nodes is fixed and cannot be changed during an iteration of thickness (horizontal model). Hence, the aquifer is confined. The thickness can be defined as transient boundary condition as well.
The following chapter describes the calculation of the initial and maximum thickness .
