Concentrations/Temperatures

In the transient input file, the attributes 1KON, KONZ and QKON can be given. The unit is: [?/node]. The "?" refers to the concentration unit in the model file: if the concentration is given in [kg / kg], the unit of the concentration in the transient input file has to be the same. When calculating the heat transfer the unit is always [K].

Fixed concentrations:

Attribute: 1KON [see above]

Values for fixed concentration can be created or changed. It is not possible to switch off fixed concentration conditions (like potential heads)!

Inflow concentrations

Attribute: KONZ [see above]

Values for inflow concentrations/temperatures can be created or changed. Inflow concentration or temperature conditions are switched off by assigning the value 0.

Mass flow

Attribute: QKON, unit: [mass/node/second]

Values for mass flow concentrations can be created or changed. Mass flow concentrations are switched off by assigning the value 0.

The mass flow has to be specified in the time unit "second" (independent of the time unit "MENG", which is defined in the header of the transient file)!

Heat production rate

Attribute: QKON, unit: [W/node]

Here the values for the heat production rate can be set for the first time or can be changed. The value has always the unit [W] which refers to 1 m³ surrounding material (water and matrix), independent of the time unit of the transient input file. The heat production rate at a node can be switched off, when assigning the value 0 to that node.
