In the following window the input parameters for the output are defined:
Output
The name of the output file is entered, default is the name out.s
Checking the first box enables the output of a detailed protocol.
Checking the third box enables the output of the file out66 in detailed form. If this file is stored, copied and renamed in null, it is possible to continue the iteration with the previously calculated data (2nd check box).
Save velocity field for STRING
In a transient flow model it is possible to store the calculated velocity field for each time step to visualize it with the program STRING. The data is written into the background files and can be read directly with STRING.
A detailed explanation of the software STRING is found in the chapter: "Visualization of velocity distributions (Software STRING)".
If the checkbox is not checked, only the velocity field of the last time step is saved. This can also be visualized with STRING.
Control lines
(only if the attribute KONT is defined in the model file)
After checking the box the computation of the control lines is done. For each segment of the control line, a velocity is required. The velocity can be determined as the mean value over the two adjacent elements. Otherwise, the velocity of the left or the right element is chosen.
Saving of intermediary results
It is possible to store the intermediate results only at certain time steps so that the background files for large models would not be unnecessarily large.
Either every nth time step can be saved or max. 50 fixed dates can be specified in a separate window.
The intermediary results are necessary to plot contour lines for special dates or to display hydrographs (final state is always possible).
Alternatively to the selection of specific dates hydrographs of the potential values and concentrations / temperatures at all calculated intermediate dates can be saved for single nodes.
